I have been able to narrow down the info on Skip Lavine and would like to know if anyone can shed light on: 173rd/11th Bn/2nd Brigade Vietnamese Airborne Advisory - And I appreciate the advice received here to go to VA Affairs - I was able to order personnel records today.

Also, have been told ribbons from Vietnamese Army may be hard replace - such as Vietnamese Armed Forces Honor Medal 1st class.

One other matter - why would an alleged retired Ranger tell me there was no 11th Battalion?

Hi my dad was in Vietnam from 67-69? He was with the 173rd airborne D2-503 infantry? Not sure if I am saying it right.Sorry. He has a Purple heart medal but we are having trouble finding his paperwork. If anyone can guide me in the right direction I would greatly apprecitate it.
