I will be attending the 50th Anniversary celebration at Benning March 21-24. I know there is a golf event going on but wondered if anyone else would like to join me to shoot some Sporting Clays?

There is a excellent gun range one hours drive from Columbus in Tuskegee Al.

You can contact me at JonMue@aol.com

He served with E CO, 2ND BN, 503RD INFANTRY, 173RD ABN BDE, USARV and D CO, 2ND BN, 503RD INFANTRY, 173RD ABN BDE, USARV from 06/05/1969 through 11/17/1968. Roy May, Gerald Rock and were lost during an insertion into a hot lz. Any information would be great. Thank you in advance for your SERVICE to our country and any responses you may have.

Jerry Neff Monday, 30 January 2012 13:03
Ok, obviously the in country date I posted was incorrect and should have been 6/5/1968.

George Rivera Thursday, 12 April 2012 16:08
May, Chicken, and Rock were KIA 11-17-1968. That is correct. I was there. George Rivera

Hi! I was just looking to find anyone who may have known my Dad, 1LT Oral B. Evans, Jr (he went by Terry a lot). I know he had served with the 173rd in either 66-67 or 69-70. He had just started sharing about his service before passing away last month, and there is just all kinds of questions left to be asked.

Jon Mueller Monday, 30 January 2012 21:18
Hello Amanda....

I work with the Defense Prisoner of War/Missing Personnel Office (DPMO) and would like to speak with members of B Company, 2nd Battalion, 503rd Infantry concerning one of your Vietnam losses. On 24 June 1965, PFC Van Campen was separated from the unit while on a patrol, then hit by sniper fire, and the unit was unable to recover his body at the time. We have several recovery teams in-country every year, and the more information we have helps us build a case to visit specific areas and pursue leads. Veteran interviews provide some of our best leads. Please call or email if you were on this patrol, or know anything about this loss.

HI,
I would just like to check on a Sky Soldier that my wife and I met one night in Virginia. He was there visiting his brother before being stationed with the 173rd. He had just transferred from the 25th Infantry in Hawaii and had served with one of the Wolfhound battalions. I had served in the Infantry with the 25th and the 82nd in Vietnam. He had an early flight so he left the bar and I wished him well. About 10 minutes later he tapped me on my shoulder and presented me with a large 25th Infantry medallion and thanked me for my service to the country. I gave him a hug and hoped my luck from Vietnam would rub off on him giving him a safe tour of duty. It really made me proud to be an American and to have served. He would know me as a Manchu. All I want to do is to wish him well and if he could drop me a line to let me know how he is doing.
Best Regards
Tom Flynn
